4th Generation - Jag Miss Margarita
                                              ________________________________________

Jag Miss Magaritta was sired by  Boris ( Hercules Wrath BBD), and out of Jag Dishlex. Maggie was mated  to Teddy in QLD 1998 before we moved to WA, producing a litter of   9 pups. We kept a red and white pied female called Jag Paint . Puppies from this litter were the first Aussie Bulldogs to be exported overseas  , sent to Guam in America  and others were in family homes in and around Mandurah and north of Perth WA. Rob kestel bought paints 2 full sisters, Doris and Molly. Photos Below.
It was at this time that Nobes contacted Don Burkes program to see if they would be interested in doing a segment on the breed. At this point of the breeding program ,there were very limited breeding females and few breeders, and the Aussie Bulldog breeding program was only in its very early stages of development. There were hundreds of enquires that came from this program ,with some people waiting  up to 3 years for a puppy.
Although the publicity for the breed was good , we would have liked  the breed to have been more established before having it aired on national TV . When the segment on Burkes back yard went to air, there was no mention of Noel & Tina Green naming the breed. .After we watched the program we personally contacted Don Burke and filled him in on the missing pieces and then it was only after this, that we got a mention in the follow up Burkes backyard magazine one month later, September October 1998
.Pip had also mentioned in her interview that , She doesnt want to compete against British bulldogs in the show ring .She doesnt even want her -Aussies to be a registered breed.
We were very disappointed that it appeared to us that Pip was clearly trying to take credit for an idea that she had been invited by us to join.
Her full intentions were to recreate the old style bulldog, and to name them the Hammersley bulldog, which was a family name from England .Her original reaction towards the name Aussie bulldog was not in a positive interest, until we advertised our first litter of pups carrying the name Aussie bulldog, in the Brisbane courier mail in the first week of July 1997, and we included Pips phone number and ours, as we were away showing Bullmastiffs for the 2 days. After an overwhelming amount of interest in these puppies as advertised, Pip then decided that she would drop her idea of Hammersley , and also breed bulldogs that would be recognized as Aussies from then on.
