INTRODUCTION TO THE UABA
The UABA was formed in 2003 by Noel & Tina Green (
Jag Aussie Bulldogs ) to include all lines of Aussie
Bulldogs. This Association was designed to promote
the breed at its best, by discussing suitable
matings in regards to percentages , and encouraging
new breeders by pointing them in the right direction
to obtain the best possible out come .
We have been mating Aussie Bulldogs to Aussie
Bulldogs for generations, but to have a larger
healthier gene pool, the UABA is still accepting the
introduction of British Bulldog (the Parent Breed of
The Aussie Bulldog ) back to new foundation females
to strengthen breeding for the Future . The UABA is
looking at keeping consistency and good health
in the dogs bred within this Association, and by
having a larger gene pool of dogs to choose from, it
increases the number of dogs that can be assessed
for health issues allowing us to choose the best
examples to breed from, and increases the number of
excellent looking, healthy Aussie Bulldogs.
You can keep on putting Aussie to Aussie,
which is okay in a larger gene pool, but in a small
breeding program you may increase breed problems
when doubling up and tripling up on some lines. This
will give you a very unstable, unhealthy type
of bulldog so this is why the UABA is
important. We are looking at the Long term
outcome for the Aussie Bulldog, building and guiding
a larger healthier gene pool which is very
time consuming and is not always easy, but the
effort put into this breed is worth while. We
have a selection of dedicated breeders within the
UABA, who produce quality puppies and have
appropriate stud dogs for matings .
The UABA is complete & knowledgeable and has an
indiscriminant registrar, providing the
correct breed development and records of stud
dogs, breeders & puppies .
We have requested DNA testing to be done in some
cases and have a thorough registration process of
each puppy to ensure that all records of breeding
are correct. Our number one aim is to support this
breed, guide it, and make sure that the public
is well informed of the choice of dog that they are
purchasing for their family environment.
As the Founders of the Aussie Bulldog we hope that
you enjoy this web site and if you have any
questions, we would be more than happy to help .
