Breed name creator and breed founder of the Aussie - Australian
Bulldog Est 1997 Noel & Tina Green "J.A.G Lines".
D.O.B- 1st Litter born & documented in Australia & named the
Aussie Bulldog was out of Jag Dishlex 11.06.97
The first litter bred out of Jag Dishlex prior to the naming of
the breed was to Tropea's Jake litter born 11.4.94.
The United Aussie Bulldog Association was originally formed in
2003 by the Greens.
Pip Nobes had her own line of bulldogs she was calling the "Hammersley
Bulldogs" then changing their title to Aussie Bulldogs.
Mrs Nobes broke away from the United Aussie Bulldog Association
to form the Australian Bulldog Society in 2004.
In 2007 The Southern Cross Bulldog was foundered by Noel & Tina
Green with the goal to create the first line of Blue & white bulldogs
in Australia.
In 2010 the new Ausdog registry system was set in place by the
breed founders. In 2011 health checks were introduced.
2012 Compulsory Hip & Elbow scoring was set in place and
upgraded Health Vet checks on all dogs used in the breeding program with a set breeders
puppy guarantee on all pups bred by members of "Bulldogs Australia" was
implemented.
In Feb 2012 The United Aussie Bulldog Association/ Australian
Bulldog Association held a meeting to form a Management Committee and voted to
incorporate the association officially with the Fair Trading Department as Bulldogs
Australia Inc, a non profit association. This application is still being assessed.
The associations objective is to documents the linage of
Aussie/Australian Bulldogs and Southern Cross Bulldogs.
Promoting the breed/s as the original founders (Noel & Tina
Green) intended and working towards breeding dogs within set breed standards.
Bulldogs Australia promotes responsible dog ownership including
the keeping, welfare when breeding, placement of dogs and does not promote or support commercial dog
breeding.
